Claim agency Aviclaim As a result of the fuel failure at Schiphol, he started a lawsuit against KLM to enforce compensation for the injured passengers. KLM settles the lawsuit and thus prevents a court decision.

Last summer, tens of thousands of passengers were affected by the disruption at Schiphol on July 24, 2019. As a result, many travelers arrived at their holiday destination more than a day later. Only claim organization Aviclaim was prepared to assist the passengers in their claim against the airlines.

The representative started a trial for three passengers. KLM has now indicated that it wants to settle the matter and to compensate the passengers with € 600 per person.

The purpose of the trial process was to find out whether the court agrees with us. With the settlement we have not obtained a court decision, but that the airline wants to settle the case so quickly says enough, '' said Remco Kuilman, founder of Aviclaim.

In aviation cases each case is considered individually. It does not mean that everyone will now receive immediate compensation.

"We will increase the pressure and start more lawsuits for the more than 1500 passengers who have reported to us."

KLM Passengers can still register on the website as claims expire two years after the flight date.
