Kees van der Burg, Director-General for Mobility at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW), will be the special guest during the KNV New Year's Reception 2020 on Tuesday 4 February at the De Witte Society in The Hague.

Together with him, the KNV looks ahead and discusses topics such as investments in road and rail, the level playing field for all types of taxi transport and the European dimension in coach policy. The KNV also presents the vision of the Meuse Lab, a KNV initiative, on Mobility as a Service in the Netherlands.

Sonila Metushi (photo) works as a policy advisor at Royal Dutch Transport (KNV) and is the driving force behind the MaaS-Lab, a collaboration between all parties from the business community involved in the development of MaaS (Mobility as a Service) in the Netherlands . The aim is to create the right preconditions for healthy and optimal MaaS services that match the social interests and wishes of the traveler. The MaaS Lab is facilitated by KNV.

Kees van der Burg became director general of Mobility at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The Council of Ministers approved the proposal of Minister Ollongren of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment took effect on September 1, 2019.

Drs. C. (Kees) van der Burg has been Director-General of Long-term Care at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport since 2014. Previously, he was director of Long-term Care, director of Social Support and deputy director of Financial Economic Affairs at the same ministry. He started his career in 1991 at the Ministry of Finance, where he held various positions until 2002.
