France plans to reopen its borders to other Schengen countries from 15 June when the health situation permits. If you travel to France within Europe, you should not be quarantined from then on, unless you come from a country that has quarantine rules for French tourists.

Hotels have been open in France since 2 June and the campsites are also allowed to receive guests again, except in the Paris region. As in most European countries, the border Open. Some other countries may follow on July 1, the European Commission says.

Greece hopes that the tourist season can start on July 1 in fairly normal circumstances. Anyone currently leaving for Greece must, in addition to a mandatory corona test, also have to be quarantined for 14 days, except travelers who are in transit.

Slovakia is almost at the top of the list of the safest vacation countries. The government took stringent measures early to keep the outbreak to a minimum. The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary have previously opened mutual borders.

Italy opened international borders on June 3, but warned Monday that it will keep them closed to countries that impose restrictions on access for Italian citizens because of the reciprocity principle. This was prompted by the Greek government that a first group of 29 countries will be able to fly unlimited airports to Athens and Thessaloniki from 15 June.

Austria is waiting another day, but wants to open borders for 31 European countries on Tuesday. Tourists from neighboring countries were already welcome. Norway will open the border as of June 15 for tourists from Denmark, Finland and Iceland. Residents from neighboring Sweden are not yet allowed. The southern neighbors will open the borders again on 15 June for residents from Europe. Belgians are also allowed to travel abroad again.
