As of June 1, 2020, Marc Beers has been appointed Director New Business at Europcar Car Rental. In this position, he can focus even more on further expanding the new business policy he has initiated in recent years.

Chris Mudde succeeds Marc Beers as Commercial Director at Europcar Car Hire. In this position he is responsible for the sales and marketing activities. He worked for several years for Spuigroep on various commercial projects. Before that, he held various commercial management positions in the lease and banking world.

No flights, no tourists, no business trips, no car rental. In short, everything was missing to keep the rental of cars up and running. There was a dramatic drop in turnover at the rental and car sharing companies. Rental companies report a decline in turnover of about 70 percent. Demand at international airports was virtually nil because there was hardly any travel. 

In a letter to the ministries of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure & Water Management, branch association Bovag asked to take compensation measures for the affiliated entrepreneurs. In the rental, sharing, leasing and car sectors, among others, the expected fall in turnover is significant, the trade association wrote in an urgent letter.
