Swapfiets was invented by a group of friends, after a period of tinkering with bicycles, they eventually designed their own bicycle with the famous blue front wheel. You can rent these bicycles for a fixed amount per month. You can see it as a kind of bicycle subscription, and if something is wrong with the bicycle, it will be made or you will get another bicycle. You can easily order the Swapfiets online in a city of your choice. After ordering, an appointment will be made with you to deliver the bike to you. Recently they also have a handy app for the Swapfiets, so that the service of this concept is always within reach.

Swapfiets wants to contribute to improving the quality of life in cities. By offering mobility services through a monthly subscription, we help make cities more accessible, healthier and more comfortable, ”said Marc van Pappelendam, general manager of Swapfiets. "We continue to innovate to offer the best products, services and experiences so that our members never stand still".

In the Netherlands, the Swapfiets is available in 21 cities. The swap bike is available in 4 cities in Belgium, in 10 cities in Germany and in 3 cities in Denmark. Swapfiets will expand and soon the bicycle with the blue front wheel will also be available in cities such as Paris, London and Milan. Swapfiets announced this on 2 July in a news item. She also announced that she will add an e-bike, a folding e-Kick (scooter), and a powerful e-scooter to their range. The Dutch company is doing very well, last month Swapfiets celebrated another milestone because they managed to reach no less than 200.000 members. This growth is mainly attributable to the fact that they operate in large cities in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Belgium.
