According to various media, agreements have been concluded with 16 hotels so far. The 10-day quarantine program must be pre-booked by the traveler.

The costs of this mandatory quarantine are for the traveler. These quarantine costs have been estimated at approximately two thousand euros per person. These travelers must also undergo two corona tests. This should be done on days two and eight of the quarantine period. If the test is positive, the quarantine can be extended again. You are required to stay in your hotel room during the quarantine period and meals will be brought to the hotel room.

Health Minister in England Matt Hancock said Sky news: “As this deadly virus evolves, so should our defenses. We have already taken tough measures to limit the spread, protect people and save lives. We must continue with the emergence of new variants. The rules that come into effect today will strengthen the quarantine system and provide an extra layer of security against new variants at the border. ”
