Those who want to park at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can now pay the parking costs at P1 and P12 contactless. This can be done by scanning the QR code on the parking ticket with a mobile phone. After scanning the QR code, the customer is immediately forwarded to iDeal where they can pay the parking costs. The customer does not have to register somewhere or download a special app first. 

“We see that the use of QR codes has expanded enormously due to corona. A development that we at Schiphol Parking are happy to respond to by offering our parkers the opportunity to pay their parking ticket digitally and therefore contactless. In this way we contribute to a quick, safe and easy continuation of your journey ”, says Dieme Ketel, Sr. manager Parking & Mobility Services at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Schiphol Parking is the first car park in the Netherlands to offer this service at Schiphol. It is a pilot that is offered at P1 (short-term parking) and P12 (staff parking garage). This service provides convenience and speed, the customer no longer has to wait in line at the parking machine or have cash in his pocket. After the test period continues Schiphol Airport look at the results.
