European Sleeper is building a night train network from the Netherlands and Belgium. It is not yet known whether the train can actually start running. European Sleeper is part of the movement that has put the night train back on the map in Europe. European Sleeper was founded by two starting entrepreneurs, with a great passion for the night train: Elmer van Buuren from Train2EU and Chris Engelsman from Noord West Express. With the creation of European Sleeper they bring together an enormous amount of valuable night train knowledge and experience.
Rail operator ProRail says it has not received an application from the cooperative. European Sleeper is building a night train network from the Netherlands and Belgium. The Czech carrier RegionJet, the largest private railway company in central Europe, is a partner for the first night train. In addition, they work with various railway companies and rail infrastructure managers, as well as with various small-scale local entrepreneurs and various volunteers.
