Brussels Airport will be able to offer no fewer than 175 destinations to its passengers in the course of this summer, according to the airport on their website. The security measures at the airport remain unaffected. Together with the testing requirement that applies to almost all destinations, this makes the airport a particularly safe place to start your holiday. 95% of departing passengers carry a negative PCR test certificate.

Travel without worries via Brussels Airport

For those who have not been to the airport for a while: the environment will feel just as familiar, but everything will look slightly different. For example, the necessary signage and stickers have been applied to remind passengers of the Covid measures. Face masks are required to protect yourself and others. If you need a negative test certificate before departure, there is a Test Center opposite the departure hall where you can have yourself tested before your journey. Dozens of hand gel dispensers are available throughout the airport terminal. Access to the terminal is limited to passengers and staff.

Less visible is the fact that the ventilation at the airport has been adapted in accordance with the latest regulations since the start of the crisis, the air is constantly renewed and there are regular measurements of the air quality. The combination of all these measures, and the fact that 95% of departing passengers are tested on Covid-19, makes the airport a very safe environment, even at the busier times when the social distance could become a challenge. In order to respond to the gradual increase in passenger numbers in the coming months, additional waiting areas will be created just outside the airport terminal, for when check-in is busy at peak times. The tents will be set up for this in the coming days. These will not be needed immediately, but with this the airport is prepared for higher passenger numbers.

The network of Brussels Airport gradually expanded to no fewer than 175 destinations, offered by 51 airlines. In addition, 6 new destinations for the summer months.
