In the battle for the title Independent Car Company of the Year 2022, ten BOVAG members have been nominated and they literally come from all corners of the country. From South Limburg to the Kop van Noord-Holland and from Friesland to Goeree-Overflakkee. Three of the nominees will advance to the final on March 22 in Nieuwegein.
BOVAG Independent Car Companies is organizing the election for the fourteenth time and the last winner in 2019 was Carprof Valentijn in Zaltbommel. After that, due to the corona measures, the annual congress of the BOVAG department could not take place, and therefore the Independent Car Company of the Year election could not take place either. However, on March 22, 2022, the new annual conference is on the agenda in NBC in Nieuwegein, including the final of the election.
PROFESSIONAL JURY
From the 81 car companies that were nominated or registered last summer, the professional jury led by ANWB director Ferry Smith selected the ten nominees. The first selection was based on customer reviews, appearance, recent inspections and financial health, among other things. The ten will be inspected by Vibber in the near future and have since had a physical and/or virtual visit from one or more mystery shoppers. Based on the findings, the jury will decide in mid-January which three companies are eligible for succession to Carprof Valentijn as Independent Car Company of the Year 2022. These three will then be personally tested by the jury members. In addition to chairman Ferry Smith, the jury consists of Bertus de Vries from Bovemij, Betsie Brink from OOMT, Remco de Vette from Vibber and Paul de Vries from DCDW.
