BORT congratulates Bert Korthout of Taxi Korthout Midden-Brabant and his team with this great entrepreneurial award, which was awarded for the 27th time. During the digital New Year's meeting of BORT and VNO-NCW Midden-Brabant on January 5, 2022, this prize was awarded to operational director Erwin van Asten of Taxi Korthout. Jury chairman Bas van der Pol praised this company for the steady growth of this company - now market leader in the taxi market in Central Brabant -, the attention for vulnerable groups, which runs like a red thread through the company, and the strength that was shown. through the corona crisis relatively unscathed. De BORT price is an annual prize for good entrepreneurship with a strong social accent. The nominations come from fellow entrepreneurs in Tilburg and the surrounding area and the jury, led by the alderman for Economics Tilburg Bas van der Pol, then selects the winner from three nominees. 

This year, in addition to Taxi Korthout, these were CoreDux Netherlands (supply gas and liquid systems to machine manufacturers in the high-tech, clean energy and aviation industry) and Machine en Constructiefabriek Moergestel (metal processing/conversion of sea containers into tiny houses). The companies were tested for connection with the region, social orientation and vision for the future. This year, special attention was paid to the theme of 'sustainable added value'.
