Smartphone use in traffic is unfortunately still too common, with all the associated consequences. Consulting and engineering firm TAUW Nederland, with its head office in Deventer, is aware of the role that the employer plays towards its employees who are on the road every day. In this context, Safe Traffic Netherlands provided two online MONO workshops at TAUW. Driving MONO means driving without distractions. You focus on the road and your mobile is on do not disturb. The online workshop contributes to raising awareness of the risks of distraction in traffic. Last year TAUW introduced a number of Traffic Rules for all its European employees. The principles of MONO driving are an important part of this.

“Participation in traffic is one of the main risks our employees face. With the Traffic Rules we make our employees aware of their responsibility for their own safety and that of others in traffic. Our employees received useful tips and advice that help you to drive MONO and not be distracted.”

About MONO business

Being undisturbed on the road is good for road safety and for companies themselves. MONO-business helps to make MONO visible in companies and organizations. Among other things, by organizing business operations in such a way that employees can travel undisturbed. Small actions to prevent distraction – via messages, video calls and social media on the mobile phone and other devices – can make a big difference. By actively promoting MONO driving, more and more others are realizing its importance, says weridemono.nl.
