The beach season starts at the beginning of March and beach tents that have remained standing can open again. Beach tents that were demolished last year can then start construction. The municipality has taken a few measures to ensure that the start of the beach season goes as smoothly as possible. For example, the barriers at Vissershavenweg and Scheveningseslag were replaced on Friday 25 February. The barriers regulate traffic on Strandweg and interrupt the race lap. If necessary, traffic controllers are deployed in the surrounding residential streets on hot or busy days.

'It has been a tough year for the entrepreneurs. In addition to Corona, several storms have had a significant impact. Fortunately, the Corona measures are off the table and I am looking forward to the coming period where there is room for activities and events again. Together with our partners, we are committed to avoiding nuisance as much as possible and to enjoy beautiful beach weather, a beer on the terrace and all the activities that the entrepreneurs on the coast have to offer. †
