In the coming months, major traffic disruption awaits us on the Eindhoven ring road. There have been night closures on the A50/N2, A58/N2 and A2/N2 before in March. Next weekend, the weekend from Friday 29 April 21:00 to Monday 2 May 05:00 and Friday 6 May 21:00 to Monday 9 May 05:00, the A2 around Eindhoven will be closed. Between the Batadorp junction and the De Hogt junction, both directions are closed to through traffic.

This is in preparation for a mega job in July and August and traffic will be diverted via the N2. From 28 July to 22 August, a number of lanes around Eindhoven on the A2 and N2 will be closed. A tunnel is then placed under the road just below Batadorp. In the two weekends that the A2 around Eindhoven is closed, sheet piling will be built for the construction of a tunnel.

There will be a tunnel under the A2/N2. This tunnel for motorized traffic connects Dirk Noordhoflaan with the existing roundabout on Mispelhoefstraat and GDC Eindhoven-Acht storage and distribution area. This creates a better connection with the slip roads to the A58 in Best in the direction of Tilburg. GDC Eindhoven-Acht is also less dependent on the A2/N2 alone.

The accessibility of, among others, the Anthony Fokkerweg, Eindhoven Airport, Flight Forum and Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) will also improve as a result. At the moment we are not experiencing any hindrance from the preparatory work that has been going on for a while on a site along the Eindhoven ring road. Road users will soon have to take into account serious delays during the works in April, May, July and August.
