Bol.com will now pick up packages from sales partners itself. Bol.com recently set up startup Ampère for this purpose. With Ampère, bol.com wants to align its logistics services even better with the wishes of customers and offer sales partners more flexibility and service. In addition, Ampère ensures the fully sustainable collection of packages from sales partners. Ampère recently started in the Utrecht region and the network of sales partners using Ampère will be further expanded in the coming months.
Pick up packages by Ampère
Ampère recently started collecting packages from sales partners, to bring them to a collection depot for further distribution. These are sales partners who use the logistics service 'Shipping via bol.com+', with which bol.com takes care of the shipment of packages for sales partners at attractive rates. With this logistics service, the packages are collected from sales partners in the morning. Ampère will now collect these packages from the sales partners itself. These packages are then handed over to delivery service Budbee, which delivers the packages to the customer the same day. Sales partners thus benefit from all the advantages of 'Shipping via bol.com+', including a fast delivery time and high delivery reliability. Bol.com wants to use the logistics capacity optimally.
In addition to collecting packages via Ampère, bol.com also continues to use other carriers for package collection in order to continue to meet the increasing demand from sales partners.
Sustainable logistics
Ampère's vans currently run largely on HVO, a renewable and sustainable diesel, made from vegetable oils. In the future, most Ampère vans will be electric. Bol.com recently received the Climate Neutral Certification quality mark. All packages from sales partners are collected climate neutrally by Ampère. Ampère will start its own certification process this year.
