Biggest holiday annoyances, claiming sunbeds and pushy salespeople. Holidaymakers who claim their sunbeds all day, pushy salespeople or a room that is not clean; the Dutch are immensely annoyed by this. This is apparent from a survey by the Holiday Discounter among 1.840 of their travelers.
40% are annoyed by claiming sunbeds.
They asked travelers what the biggest annoyances are to fellow hotel guests. People who claim the sunbeds by the pool early or all day (40%) and holidaymakers who scoop their plates at the buffet and leave half of it (35%). 30% are annoyed by a room that is not clean.
Disappointments on the accommodation itself.
The biggest annoyance is a not clean room (30%), Sunbeds that are occupied on the accommodation itself (18%) and accommodation looks nicer in the photos (12%).
Outside the accommodation
Outside the accommodation, holidaymakers are most annoyed by (Beach) sellers who are too pushy (46%), rude local people (20%) and too many Dutch tents and/or Dutch (13%).
On-board
On the plane, holidaymakers are most annoyed by the person in front of you who puts the seat too far back (23%), crying children (16%) and lack of space (16%).
Location
From the survey of the Holiday discount also shows that the location can sometimes be disappointing. The biggest annoyances of the location would be that the environment is a construction site (25%), a lot of noise at night (24%) and an unsafe neighborhood (21%)
