Car pass provider MKB Fuel recently added a new charging station to its range. This entry-level model only contains the necessary parts and is therefore priced lower than the more advanced variant. With this, the Rotterdam company is making the switch to electric driving more accessible for the average enterprising Dutch person.

Charging station for entrepreneurs

According to Martijn van Paassen of MKB Fuel, the company has been committed to making electric driving accessible to every entrepreneur for some time.

“For entrepreneurs who cannot invest heavily, we have been offering an all-inclusive charging station subscription with an infinite guarantee for some time now. Our mission is to make electric driving even more accessible. That is why we are launching a charging station that is cheaper in monthly costs as well as in purchase. The subscription price drops from 39 to 35 euros per month. And the one-off investment drops from 1995 to 1695 euros. This amount includes installation and warranty. The entry-level model lowers the threshold for switching from fuel to electric. Exactly what we want!”

Low-priced entry-level model

SME Fuel supplies premium charging stations from the Dutch brand Alfen. The new charging station – the single charging station base – has only the necessary parts. For example, the charging station does not have a display, but an LED status indicator, and charges up to a maximum of 11 kW. This is sufficient for most cars. The charging station also connects online via a network cable instead of a SIM card. Entrepreneurs can still mount the charging station on the wall or on a mounting pole, and in a color of their choice. The launch proves once again that the car pass provider is shifting its focus from refueling to charging. With the ultimate goal: a cleaner world thanks to more entrepreneurs who drive electrically.
