Eindhoven Airport has selected Heijmans as contractor for the expansion of the existing passenger terminal at Eindhoven Airport. The provisional award by the second airport in the Netherlands recently became final.

Heijmans won the tender thanks to the best price-quality ratio, which scored highly on cooperation, the proposed project organization and plan of approach. The tender has an expected contract value of more than EUR 30 million.

More comfort for the same passenger volume

The expansion will provide more comfort for travelers and employees because there will soon be more space for airport processes and services. The airport is expanding the terminal because it is too small. The terminal is built for 5 million passengers per year. In 2019 (pre-corona) the airport had 6,7 million passengers. The airport expects to return to that level.
