The Move East event offers everyone the opportunity to experience what sustainable mobility of the future looks like.

On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June, Move East will take place for the first time, the sustainable mobility event of the eastern Netherlands. At Technology Base, Twente Airport near Enschede, the latest developments and innovations in the field of sustainable transport can be seen: from electric plane to scooter and from drone to truck. More than 30 exhibitors demonstrate their innovations. The entrance to the event is free. Whether you drive or fly, mobility must be more sustainable. Many companies from the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel are working on innovations that make this possible. The Move East event offers everyone the opportunity to experience what sustainable mobility of the future looks like.

Business market on Friday: electric flying, hydrogen and batteries

On Friday 16 June, the business market will be the focus. In addition to the many innovations on display, various knowledge sessions will take place that day, in which experts will discuss current sustainable mobility issues. Entrepreneurs, governments, knowledge institutions and intermediaries will discuss the challenges and opportunities that sustainable mobility entails. Questions that will be discussed are what sustainability means for company cars? Will we soon be boarding an electric plane? And what opportunities does medical transport via drones offer?

In addition, Novel-T is organizing a Campus Cafe about 'The Future of Batteries', Paul Bombeld – editor-in-chief of Hydrogen Magazine – talks about what is already possible with hydrogen and which developments are coming, and Scania shows what steps the company is taking in the towards a sustainable transport network.

Public day on Saturday: drone square, racing cars and magnetic transport

Everyone is welcome at Move East on Saturday 17 June. Join an electric car rally or get on the latest sustainable fat bike. Twente Airport will also not lack the electric plane, in addition to sustainable trucks, buses, racing cars, cars, motorcycles, scooters, bicycles and drones.

You will meet drone innovators at the Space53 drone square. These flying robots are playing an increasingly important role when it comes to sustainable mobility by air. Robor Electronics, Spectro-AG, DroneTeam Twente, ANWB Medical Air Assistance, Nest-Fly Technologies and Drone Flight Academy, among others, are present at this square with drone innovations. Participate in DroneTeam Twente's drone workshop, watch drone demonstrations or join the ANWB Medical Air Assistance presentation about their medical transport drone.

A team from Radboud University is working with students from Hogeschool Arnhem-Nijmegen (HAN) on 'The National Individual Floating Transport Infrastructure' (NIFTI). At Move East they will show their award-winning study of a floating transport system based on magnets. Move east is an initiative of the province of Gelderland, the province of Overijssel and East NL, according to the province of Gelderland.
