After the long-awaited premiere of the movie “Barbie”, the reactions are everywhere. The film has been described as humorous, nuanced, and at the same time has an explosion of color that can lead to watery eyes. Despite the pop culture icon's critical approach, the film is a celebration of Barbie's impact on generations. Even before the movie hit theaters, “Barbie” was already generating significant online hype. The trailers suggested a good dose of self-mockery, combined with an all-star cast and one of the most respected female filmmakers of our time.

Nora Aljobouri (26), a self-proclaimed Barbie super fan, drove in style to the avant-premiere at Kinepolis Hasselt. With her custom pink BMW with the license plate 'BARBIE' she pulled a lot attention. “I've loved Barbie all my life,” said Nora. She has had her initially red car adapted to Barbie style with a pink foil.

Even the luxury car market has something to be excited about. In a surprising collaboration between Mattel and Maserati, an ultra-limited edition Maserati Grecale SUV was introduced. Decorated with the Barbie logo, the car's iridescent top coat reveals a stunning rainbow effect in the sunlight. And for the purists? Only two of these cars were produced.

Within the film itself, the iconic Corvette is an eye-catcher, driven by Margot Robbie's Barbie. We're also treated to a glimpse of a Hummer, which is believed to belong to Ken, played by none other than Ryan Gosling. The story takes an exciting turn when Barbie's life in her home country, Barbie Land, turns out not to be so rosy. She ventures into the real world on a quest for herself and along the way meets the CEO of Mattel, played by Will Ferrell.
