Travelers between Eindhoven and Roermond should prepare for interruptions.

This coming weekend, on 19 and 20 August, Gouda will not be accessible by train. This is the result of the work that Prorail will be carrying out on the cables, pipelines at the station and the renewal of rail segments between Gouda and Zoetermeer.

Gouda station will provide space for a construction project on the southern side, the so-called 'Lombokterrein', where approximately sixty homes are planned. Prorail takes responsibility for safely housing the cables for train traffic in new cable ducts, so that the construction project can start. With a continuous schedule of 24 hours a day during the weekend, Prorail focuses on timely completion of the relocation and testing of this infrastructure.

In addition, attention is being paid to track renewal near Moordrecht and between Nieuwekerk aan den IJssel and Capelle aan den IJssel. Here, Prorail employees will renew the sleepers and replace the ballast.

Travelers should note that there will be no trains to Gouda on 19 and 20 August. The NS provides buses. The weekend of September 16 and 17 also requires attention; train traffic around Gouda will come to a standstill again.

Travelers between Eindhoven and Roermond should prepare for interruptions on August 19 and 20.

In the same period, between 19 and 21 August, travelers between Eindhoven and Roermond will also experience interruptions. Prorail has plans to tackle a few short rail sections between Eindhoven and Weert. This includes renewing sleepers, rails and ballast. It is striking that some of these activities, which were actually planned in March, have been moved.

Within Eindhoven, activity is concentrated around the level crossing at Tongelresestraat. Here, Prorail will renew a track segment without requiring the level crossing to be closed. Another area of interest is Geldrop, where, in addition to track renewal, the Eindhovenseweg will be temporarily closed due to the work.

Further improvements by Prorail are taking place in Geldrop and between Sterksel and Maarheeze, where work is being done on the inspection path. Prorail employees will replace the top layer of this inspection path.

The large-scale work in Emplacement Weert, which started on August 5, will end on August 21. Here, Prorail focused on cleaning up sidings and points, renewing sleepers, ballast and a loading platform.

Travelers between Eindhoven and Roermond should prepare for interruptions on August 19 and 20. As compensation, stop and express buses will be used by NS. For up-to-date travel information, we recommend consulting the travel planner.
