During the press conference, Mark Rutte made it clear to all Dutch that all countries for which code yellow will be issued and if this changes to code orange during the holidays will not be eligible for any repatriation by the Dutch government. The code yellow will probably be issued for most countries within the Schengen zone.

From June 15, the cabinet will issue code yellow as travel advice for 12 countries. It also concerns the six countries of the Caribbean part of the kingdom, which go from code orange (only necessary trips) to code yellow and which means that attention must be paid to security risks.

The advice can change per week. Booking a trip now remains a risk for the traveler and not for the government. No rights can be derived from it travel advice from the government. Travel within Europe is possible according to the prime minister, but it remains the risk itself. The government does not consider traveling to the United Kingdom and Sweden a good idea after 15 June.

The Dutch certainly should not go on holiday to countries with red or orange travel advice, usually countries outside Europe. "If you do it anyway, you must be in home quarantine for 14 days after your return".

irrelevant questions

A clearly annoyed Prime Minister Mark Rutte when answering the questions of the journalists present who paid more attention to provoking statements about the out of control demonstration on Dam Square in Amsterdam. The press conference, which was intended to clarify the possibility of going on holiday this summer, turned into an irrelevant question by a number of journalists.

The demonstration on Dam Square in Amsterdam was irresponsible, Prime Minister Rutte said at the press conference. Nevertheless, Rutte has no reason to declare a demonstration ban. "You saw yesterday in Groningen and The Hague that it is possible."
