The measures announced by Prime Minister Rutte and Minister De Jonge have major consequences for Holland Casino. Limiting travel movements, meetings and contacts between people should reduce the pressure on care. Yesterday, guests of Holland Casino were informed that the casino will close until further notice and that it may open again from December. Despite all catering within the casino for quite some time, the entire casino is now closed.

It was in the spring casino also closed for over three months. After that, the casino did everything it could to respect the 1.5 meters for guests and staff by creating walkways in the couples and enclosed areas where up to 30 people were allowed access at a time. Due to the closure, the casino no longer has any income because it is still not active online due to current legislation. The latter will probably be the case by the end of 2021, when Holland Casino will also be able to offer online games of chance, which is already being offered illegally by foreign companies in the Netherlands.

libraries

Now that the casino remains closed, the elderly may still be able to pick up a book in the library during the day. The House of Representatives wants the libraries to remain open for the collection of books. This was prohibited in the tightened measures. A motion by Jesse Klaver of Groenlinks could count on support and a majority so that pick-up remains possible.

swimming pools

Swimming pools, on the other hand, have to close their doors. The closure of swimming pools is also part of the measures to reduce contamination figures in the Netherlands more quickly. Gyms may remain open for individual sports, but group lessons are no longer possible.
