No relaxation and the travel advice not to go abroad will be extended until Thursday 15 April. The urgent advice therefore remains to stay in the Netherlands and not to travel. These are the main announcements during the press conference on Monday 8 March. One year after the outbreak in the Netherlands, all current corona measures will be extended until Tuesday, March 30. Furthermore, the curfew applies at least until the morning of March 31, announced outgoing Prime Minister Rutte. The next press conference and perhaps some advice for the May holiday will not come until 23 March. The cabinet also only wants to give perspective for the summer holidays.

curfew did get to the bottom of the pile

Curfew was introduced on January 23. Despite the abolition of the curfew on top of the pile for the cabinet, this did not happen and the cabinet is sticking to this measure. In addition, the exact effect of the curfew, which is being extended again, cannot be said, according to outgoing Prime Minister Rutte, because the measure was taken at the same time as the advice to only receive one visitor at home per day.

no relaxations but a small correction

All heavy corona measures, such as the lockdown and the closure of the catering industry continue to apply. Nevertheless, some easing has been announced. There is still a strict entry ban for travelers from countries outside the European Union, but the cabinet will relax the rules slightly from 16 March. This allows business travelers, students, knowledge migrants and professionals from the cultural and creative sector to re-enter.

The flight and mooring ban for the United Kingdom will be lifted from midnight. Test obligations will continue to apply, as will an urgent quarantine advice. According to the outgoing cabinet, it no longer makes sense, given that the British variant of the corona virus has already spread in the Netherlands, to enforce the measures.
