THE HAGUE (ANP) - Former scout Kajsa Ollongren told the driver of her official car during the ride on Thursday that she was infected with corona. Shortly before, she left the Binnenhof after hearing that she had tested positive. This is evident from answers to parliamentary questions from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The driver has had himself tested. It is not known whether he also became infected. Measures have been followed to prevent contamination. There was no mudguard in the car, according to the answers. That's why Ollongren and her driver wore masks. According to the ministry, there was nothing else possible in this case than that Ollongren drove away with the official car.

During Ollongren's departure she was photographed with a note under her arm, which mentioned, among other things, a “position elsewhere” for critical CDA MP Pieter Omtzigt. Because of the leaked note, Ollongren and Annemarie Jorritsma are no longer scouts, but have been succeeded by outgoing ministers Tamara van Ark (Medical Care) and Wouter Koolmees (Social Affairs). The House of Representatives was supposed to debate this on Wednesday, but it went chaotic. Not all documents were made public, although the House did ask for this. Now the debate is scheduled for Thursday.
