After many difficult months with numerous travel restrictions and travel bans, Brussels Airport and its home carriers Brussels Airlines and TUI are ready for the summer season, with special attention to safety and health. For example, the sanitary measures at the airport and on board the aircraft are constantly being strengthened and adapted. Moreover, today 95% of travelers departing from Brussels Airport require a negative PCR test. In terms of offer, Brussels Airlines offers 78 destinations this summer, TUI can take its passengers to 75 destinations.

Travel differently, but travel better and safely. Brussels Airport has always put the safety and comfort of its passengers first. In the face of the current crisis, the airport has reinforced its determination to be one of the best airports in Europe with the highest quality standards. Together with Brussels Airlines and TUI, and all other partners, Brussels Airport has worked hard to welcome an increasing number of travelers and offer them a wide range of destinations in the coming weeks and months.

The many sanitary measures that have been in place at the airport for more than a year, such as cleaning of the facilities, ventilation and measures for social distance, have been further strengthened. Particular attention has been paid to the management of passenger flows, especially on the busiest days, by setting up waiting areas in front of the entrance to the departure hall. In the coming days, tents will be set up in front of the departure hall where the passengers of certain flights can wait in case of a busy check-in. This is to avoid long queues and to respect social distance as much as possible.

More than ever, and pending the full rollout of the vaccination, testing remains the key to safe travel. For example, 95% of departing passengers at Brussels Airport have a negative PCR test certificate less than 72 hours old, as required by the destination countries. This makes Brussels Airport one of the safest places. Tests can always be carried out at Brussels Airport itself, in one of the two centers available to passengers. Thus Brussels Airport.
