Since the last relaxation of our cabinet, air traffic and with it the number of travelers at Eindhoven Airport has increased again. The parking lots around the airport are getting full again. More and more people have been vaccinated and the number of corona infections is falling in the world. The rules for travelers are also being relaxed in more and more countries. It is expected that it will be busier at Eindhoven Airport this summer than the summer of 2020, of course this depends on the travel advice and measures of the different countries. Eindhoven Airport expects about 11.400 flights in the months of June to September, compared to 8.000 in the same period last year. Before the corona crisis broke out, there were 16.000 flights in the same period, so that is a mega difference compared to last year and this year.

Travelers to and from Eindhoven Airport Flyers have the option of having themselves tested for corona by appointment in the terminal at Travel Doctor or opposite the terminal at Ecolog. If you travel to Eindhoven Airport from a high-risk area, you must show a negative COVID-19 test result before departure, even if travelers only transfer in Eindhoven. There are also countries that ask travelers from the Netherlands for a negative COVID-19 test result on arrival. All travelers are required to have a completed health declaration with them at Eindhoven Airport. This statement must be printed or on your mobile phone. This applies to both the outward and return journey. Of course, the mask obligation (from 13 years old) still applies in and around the airport and keeping distance from each other is still an obligation. Let's hope we have a great summer and that the coronavirus will soon die out now that more and more people have been vaccinated.
