From June 30, only fleets of 200 or more (agricultural) construction vehicles can be submitted for registration at once. Previously, the minimum number was 25 vehicles. The simultaneous registration of large numbers of (agricultural) construction vehicles is possible until 1 November. This measure was decided after consultation with the industry. Owners who own less than 200 (agricultural) construction vehicles can register them individually via the RDW website. It should lead to less administrative burdens for the owners.
Easier and faster
When registering large numbers of vehicles at the same time, it concerns (agricultural) construction vehicles that were taken into use before 1 January 2021. Registering more vehicles at the same time was created to allow companies and RDW to save time during registration. However, the experience of recent months shows that this does not work well. A lot of extra contact is still needed between companies and RDW to be able to complete the registration. With the individual application via the website, applicants are better helped to fill in the correct data. This makes it easier and faster to process the application. The obligatory photo also contributes to this.
Individual request
As of June 30, owners who own less than 200 (agricultural) construction vehicles can register them individually via the RDW website. From 1 November it is no longer possible to register 200 or more vehicles at the same time, the vehicles must then be registered individually. Individual registration online is possible until December 31, 2021.
Correct vehicle data
When registering, companies can save themselves time and aggravation by carefully checking in advance what data is needed and how you can retrieve it. If the requested information is not entered or is incorrectly entered, the application cannot be processed. Only for legal entities
Registering 200 or more (agricultural) construction vehicles at the same time is only possible for legal entities that are registered with the Chamber of Commerce. Partnerships and sole proprietorships cannot therefore make use of this option. The temporary option is intended to enable companies with hundreds of vehicles, such as rental and lease companies and the RDW, to efficiently register large numbers of vehicles simultaneously. Companies that own a large fleet would do well to request registrations in good time, so that the applications can be processed on time. To register more vehicles at the same time, an application form must be completed, after which the RDW will contact the applicant.
