Due to a technical malfunction, the website and app of the Flemish Transport Company De Lijn was badly affected on Friday 11 March. The real-time info at the stops were also not available and call bus rides were also stopped disturbed† De Lijn gave little or no information via Twitter and other social media, except that the ICT team was working on a solution. Alternatively, reference was made to the Google route planner. An alternative ticket could be received via an SMS ticket (text 'DL' to 4884). The website and app were available again around 13.00 p.m. You could also consult the real-time travel information again.

Google Maps

From now on, Google Maps will also show the real-time travel information. Until recently, if you used Google Maps to plan a route, you only saw our theoretical timetable. You didn't see any of that in Google Maps on rides that were delayed, canceled or that were early. From now on, route proposals from Google Maps will take the real-time data from De Lijn into account.
