Shared transport company GO Sharing starts today with the installation of 200 electric shared scooters and 200 e-bikes in Almere. With shared transport, the company wants to offer an alternative to owning its own transport, which is often environmentally polluting and takes up a lot of public space.

As of today, GO Sharing also offers its partial transport in Almere. The company will start with 400 electric shared vehicles: 200 shared scooters and 200 shared bicycles. The vehicles can be found and reserved via the GO Sharing app. The user pays a starting fee and then per minute for the use of the vehicle. It is also possible to put the vehicle in the park position, so that it remains at your disposal after a break. The batteries of the vehicles are replaced by GO Sharing employees as soon as they threaten to run out.

“Almere has already done well in terms of car, bicycle and public transport. With this pilot mobility we are trying to further improve mobility in our city. For example, through more efficient use of space, making short trips more sustainable and by giving everyone the opportunity to use a bicycle or scooter. With this we hope to make Almere even more attractive for both residents and visitors.”

Florida
GO Sharing is a mobility partner of the Floriade Expo 2022, which starts on 14 April. At the world horticultural exhibition, which takes place once every ten years and has the theme 'Growing Green Cities' this year, GO Sharing electric shared bicycles will be available for easy and fast commuting between the Floriade and Almere station.

Electric shared bicycles, scooters and cars
The electric shared vehicles are part of the multimodal offer with which GO Sharing wants to support the door-to-door journey, also between regions, with shared transport.

“In most cases, own transport still pollutes the environment and takes up an unnecessary amount of public space. In our mission to replace vehicle ownership with shared mobility, supporting the door-to-door journey is crucial. Even if you travel to another city, you want the same convenience as having your own vehicle. Our goal is to provide a shared scooter or e-bike anywhere within a 3-minute walk. In some cities we now also offer electric shared cars at central points, so that you can also travel to another city by shared transport. There you take a shared scooter or e-bike to your final destination. All via one app and at a rate that competes with owning a car.”

As of today, Go Sharing can also be found in Almere.
