The floats may be missing during the 35th edition of the Summer Carnival, but a few streets in Rotterdam will still be closed, which may have consequences for the accessibility of Erasmus MC, among others. Visitors and employees should take some extra travel time into account. For example, the Kruiskade will also be closed on Saturday 30 July between 13.00 and 20.00, making it no longer accessible. Want to continue after the Street Parade and the closing concerts? It's just possible. At after-parties, the DJs and musicians whip up the crowd until late. For more than 10 years, the Rotterdam organization agency BonBon Entertainment has been organizing parties before and after the Summer Carnival. This time their afterparty will take place in the Maassilo from 23.00 pm. The Carnival Queen comes by and there is an international line-up. In addition to the Caribbean sounds of La Rouge and Cache Royal, among others, there is also a room for Afrobeats. 1da Baton comes over from Nigeria and DBN Gogo from South Africa. In addition, Biggi, Irwan and Superior are also present as DJs.
Opulence Carnival Special
At Weelde a starts at 16.00 p.m Carnival Special. This is done in collaboration with Operator and The Function. There will be Caribbean percussion, but there will also be a lot of DJs such as Edson, Madbwoy, Feurich, Ezri Jade, Donn Stone, Roger Brouwn and Mo Jakob. The party lasts until 2 a.m.
Villa Night Club x Papi Chulo Sound System
The Papi Chulo Soundsystem is the last truck in the parade. But after the trip, the system certainly does not stop. Music is also provided on the Coolsingel and then Papi Chulo Soundsystem moves to Villa Thalia. There they play together with Steve Andreas, Kevin Key and Joy Heart Latin, Reggaeton, Moombahton and more.
