93% of those present rejected the employers' final offer.

Last week, hundreds of members of FNV and CNV gathered online to make their voices heard. The big question was whether they agree with the employers' final offer? The answer was obvious, as 93% of those present rejected the employers' final offer. Remarkably enough, 92% of the members present indicated that they wanted to campaign for a better collective labor agreement.

The collective labor agreements for Healthcare Transport & Taxi contain agreements on wages, allowances, working hours, overtime, holidays and pensions for taxi drivers (street taxi) and contract transport. Employers offered a 12% pay increase over 2 years. They want to keep the waiting days and wage discount in case of illness and they also want to go back to the old paid time rules, where you are not paid if there are no rides for you. Actions are under attention and the unions can open the strike fund for their members because of this enormous willingness to take action.

On 14 October, the employers made their final offer in the collective labor agreement negotiations. This offer offers some pay rise on the one hand, but completely misses progress on all other crucial benefits. Moreover, according to the unions, the offer blocks further improvements for the next two years. FNV calls on its members to participate in the action committee and asks the members how and where they want to take action.

Earlier, about 75 members of FNV Zorgvervoer en Taxi and CNV Vakmensen marched through Ede on Friday 21 October. In doing so, they drew attention to the failed collective labor agreement negotiations with the employers' organization KNV. The march was seen as a last attempt to get the KNV to withdraw the undersized final offer for a new collective labor agreement and to prevent actions in student and Social Support Act transport.
