After 3 years of delay, the international model railway event Eurospoor is back. For three days, model railway enthusiasts can enjoy various layouts and creations from various countries. The Eurospoor2021 event will take place from 29 to 31 October in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.

After a series of 26 years of organizing, the organizers decided to skip the international model railway event Eurospoor for a year (2019). They wanted to be released for a while from the tension and pressure that comes with organizing a large event (15000 visitors, 2 football fields). Due to Corona, the event could also not take place in 2020, as a result of which the Eurospoor enthusiast had to wait no less than 3 years for the next event.

At Eurospoor2021, adults and children can enjoy 50 of the most beautiful model railways in the world, recreated in detail. Worlds in which the railway connects fantasy and reality. Dreamed railway tracks are on display next to the existing or historical emplacements that have been accurately recreated to the millimetre. With moving parts in the landscape, such as real-life cars, houses with real interiors and LED lighting, machines that dig, model figures that knock mats, moving doors and much more can be seen and heard to scale in the digital age. And of course Eurospoor2021, one of Europe's largest model railway events, is packed with trains again.

Hundreds of hobbyists of many nationalities display their most beautiful creations in two enormous Jaarbeurs halls, and there is also the famous model railway market. The mecca for hobbyists and collectors. Almost a kilometer of countless stands where all kinds of used and special models, train items and associated items such as landscapes and buildings can be exchanged and sold.

In addition, there is a diorama competition and space is offered to foundations such as Beneluxspoor and Modelspoorwijzer that, among other things, provide advice and model building demonstrations. In addition, the visitor will find on Eurorail also various domestic and foreign companies and retailers that supply the latest model railway articles or parts. Finally, the market leaders such as Märklin, Fleischmann/Roco and Piko will also be present at Eurospoor with a stand to show visitors the latest models and to inform them about the technical innovations for digital control.

Corona ensures increased popularity for model railways
The mandatory sitting at home by Corona has led to an immense interest in the model railway hobby (There is even a television program at Omroep Max on primetime about model railways, the Grote Kleine Treinen Competition). Many have taken the model railway from the attic and rediscovered the hobby. Now that Eurospoor is taking place again, this is a great opportunity to learn more about model railway construction, such as laying rails, painting wagons in realistic colors and making mountains and trees faithfully yourself to create impressive miniature landscapes.
