The driving schools and the CBR (Central Bureau Driving Skills) are also very affected by the corona crisis, so far, according to the news reports, more than 22.000 driving exams have been canceled due to the corona crisis. All theory exams that were reserved after 20 May and all practical exams for drivers have also been removed from the schedule. 

The Central Bureau of Driving Skills is busy devising solutions for this (contact profession) problem, since the intelligent Lock Down, no driving lessons, driving exams, theory exams, interim tests, driving tests, alcohol and traffic behavior courses have been administered. Candidates will be able to reschedule these free of charge, the CBR reports.

The CBR is considering making theoretical and driving tests possible again by keeping sufficient distance during the theory exams and placing special foil between candidate and examiner for the driving exams. The special foil is intended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus because there is no physical contact. The idea is currently being tested, if it works it will be submitted to it RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) and the RDW (Road Traffic Service) for approval, said Alexander Pechtold (director of CBR).
