The amendment of the legislation that came into effect on 1 December also has consequences for the previously developed sector protocols for healthcare transport and taxi transport. It may be temporary measures, but enforcers can also issue fines if the regulations are not applied or are applied incorrectly.

Because the scheme is now final, the KNV branch organization has examined the effects on the various sector protocols. Although they previously had the impression that it would not have to lead to adjustments, the protocols still need to be adjusted on two points.

Even if 1,5 meters in a vehicle can be observed, the starting point is that a face mask is worn by the travelers. Also for persons who form one household, the basic principle is that they wear a non-medical mouth mask. As far as the student protocol is concerned, it remains the case that the driver wears a surgical mouth mask and that the students do not have to wear a medical mouth mask.

Persons who cannot wear a mouth mask due to a disability or illness are exempted from the obligation to wear a mouth mask. We already knew this exception in the protocol for care transport from 18 years and older for daytime activities. This exception is still there.

From March 2020, the security regions included the measures for combating the corona virus in so-called emergency regulations. Emergency ordinances are for (crisis) situations of limited time. But the corona crisis has lasted longer. That is why the cabinet has replaced the emergency regulations with the temporary corona law (Temporary Measures Act COVID-19) and associated ministerial regulations.

De Temporary Act Measures Covid-19 started on December 1, 2020 and has a term of 3 months. If necessary, the corona law can be extended by 3 months at a time. It is also possible to withdraw the law in the meantime, as soon as it is no longer necessary. The House of Representatives is involved in these decisions.
