In Germany, one of the corona measures that had just been agreed is already being reversed after storm of criticism. Angela Merkel had decided, together with the federal states, after a difficult consultation, to tighten up the measures during the Easter leave. But there was so much criticism that Merkel about this that she has called everyone together again, and an Easter lockdown is therefore not coming. There would be a strict lockdown from the Thursday before Easter to Easter Monday.

Germans have been in lockdown since the end of December. Especially the long store closure, including supermarkets, led to a lot of criticism. The Netherlands more often looks at Germany with more than an oblique eye when it comes to the lockdown. Again, no relaxation was announced for Easter, except for the curfew, which would not apply until 22.00 p.m.
