Unfortunately, the negative travel advice from our government has been extended again until at least 15 May. Because of this extension, the chance to go on holiday abroad is getting smaller and smaller. We all dream of a well-deserved vacation in paradise without mandatory quarantine. We are ready for it in a minute, just get out and mind zero. This was also apparent last week in the number of registrations for the trial holiday to the Greek island of Rhodes.

Within two hours there were already 5000 registrations and in no time the website was overloaded. As many as 25 thousand people have registered for this. Of these 25 thousand registrations, only 189 people are allowed on the plane. Perhaps there is even more hope this summer, as the Thai government is working on a plan that tourists who have been vaccinated will be welcome on the Thai island of Phuket from 1 July, without quarantine.

Tourists who are fully vaccinated against the corona virus do not have to go into the quarantine period upon arrival. Anyone who is negative about the test obligation upon arrival at the hotel on Phuket may also travel to the rest of Thailand after a week. Thailand has come up with this plan to get tourism back on track. Residents of Phuket are given priority on vaccination over the rest of the country. By July, 70 percent of Phuket's population should be vaccinated before the first tourists are admitted.

Thailand previously shortened the quarantine period for arrivals from abroad from 14 days to 10 days, and from April that will be 7 days quarantine. According to various medium tourists wishing to participate in the proposed quarantine-free program must present a vaccination certificate, vaccine passport or travel pass from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Also, tourists still have to have the PCR tests done at the airport to prove that they are free from corona.
