On Wednesday, the first shared cars of the municipality of Hollands Kroon were officially put into use for the mobipoints at the town hall and Anna Paulowna station. Alderman Theo Meskers handed over the digital “keys” to one of the cars to future shared car user Joke Vossen from Anna Paulowna. With the addition of these last shared cars, the total number of shared cars now comes to seven in Schagen and Hollands Kroon. There are now thirteen mobipoints in the entire Kop. That number should grow to 2023 by XNUMX.

“I don't have a car myself and this is a very useful initiative for me. I'm going to use the shared car for family visits or if I want to go to the forest sometime, or just want to drive around. I have reserved it for the first time for next Saturday. I can not wait for it"

About mobipoints

Mobi points originated from an initiative of a regional partnership The Kop Works! to maintain accessibility and quality of life in the region. The points are usually located near public transport. This project falls under 'De Kop Werkt!', The regional incentive program of the four Kop municipalities Texel, Den Helder, Hollands Kroon and Schagen and the province of North Holland. They work together on a future-proof region. They do this by continuously exploiting opportunities that strengthen the region's strength. This concerns the development of ports, agribusiness, energy sector, tourism, accessibility and living environment.
