Parking at the train station is always easy, you park your car at the P + R area and take the train from there to continue your journey. The question is always, is there room or not? Where do I park my car if there is no space and then catch my train? All stressed and an obstacle for many people to get to the train. Recently, travelers can use the NS app and the NS website to see how many parking spaces are still available on the P + R site at stations in the Netherlands. How nice is that? No more stress to find a parking space and you just get your connection by train.
“Sometimes the best way to get to the station is by car. Then it is nice to be able to park quickly and easily. It is now possible to check before departure whether there are still parking spaces available at the P + R site. It helps if travelers know for sure that they can park their car at the station, especially when it will soon be busier again. We know from research that the possibility of parking for this group of travelers is very important. If it were not there, 25 percent of these travelers would not choose the train ”
You can currently see the number of available parking spaces on the P + R site of 19 stations in the Netherlands: Driebergen-Zeist, Rotterdam Central, Alkmaar, Eindhoven, Zwolle, Assen, Duivendrecht, Den Bosch Parallelweg and Magistratenlaan, Roosendaal Spoorstraat and Stationsstraat, Boxtel, Oisterwijk, Breda, Middelburg, Zaandam, Enschede, Weert and Bilthoven. You check your NS app or the NS before you leave website and see if there is still enough space. In the future, 43 more of these P + R locations will be added to stations. Ultimately, it will be possible to see how many parking spaces are available for all P + R areas with a barrier.
