When can we go on vacation again? That is a question that probably every Dutch person is currently asking himself. Is the end of the travel restriction finally in sight? We hear that more and more countries around us are going to relax. Tonight we will hear more about this during the press conference of Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Outgoing Minister Hugo de Jonge. There are rumors that from next week the travel advice not to travel abroad will expire. Hopefully, the color codes of many countries on the website of the Netherlands worldwide will soon change again from orange to yellow and green. According to various media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will look at the travel advice per country or region. The Netherlands can be seen as a 'risk country' for other countries, because we still have a relatively large number of corona infections. The question is also whether other countries are going to do something with this in the form of, for example, mandatory quarantine or a negative test certificate for travelers coming from the Netherlands.

We also all hope that we can quickly proceed with step 2 of the opening plan from our government. Step 2 has previously been postponed because the number of corona infections had not yet fallen enough. Step 2 means that transfer locations outside, such as zoos and amusement parks, indoor and outdoor sports, art and culture activities inside, can be reopened under certain conditions. There are also various rumors about this, says Het Parool that sources report that we can sit on a terrace for a very long time from next week, namely from 06:00 in the morning or 07:00 to 20:00 in the evening. Access to museums and cinemas, for example, with the aid of an access test would also be possible. All this and all subsequent steps of the opening plan can be adjusted in the meantime, should the infections recur. We can only wait and hope for fewer infections and more freedom.
