Unfortunately, the daily traffic jams on various highways have made a comeback since the work-from-home advice is no longer in effect. On Tuesdays you have the best chance of standing in traffic jams in the morning and evening rush hours. You have the least chance of being stuck in a traffic jam on Friday in the morning rush hour. The Easter weekend is approaching again, many people go out for a long weekend in the Netherlands or leave for a short holiday abroad.

Especially now that we have had a long period of corona and had to stay at home as much as possible, we want to go out again. With the nice weather of the past few days, we get the jitters to go on the road again. The ANWB warns everyone about busy roads around Easter and especially about a busy evening rush hour on Thursday 14 April. This bustle is due to a combination of daily commuter traffic and people going out to their holiday address.

Easter Monday is normally a busy day for traffic every year, in the corona time this was of course a different story. On Easter Monday, many people go out for a day trip to the zoo, amusement park or garden center. Many people are expected this year at Keukenhof in Lisse, which is open until May 15. Keukenhof has not been open to the public for two years due to the corona measures.

Paaspop in Schijndel will finally continue this year and will also attract a large audience after two years of corona. Also on Easter Monday all people who have been away for a long weekend come back home. Most delays are expected on Thursday afternoon on the A2 between Utrecht and Eindhoven, the A1 Amsterdam/Apeldoorn, on the A12 Utrecht and the German border and on the A50 between Apeldoorn and Eindhoven.
