At Stella we all work very hard. We are sober and say it like it is.

The company from Nunspeet in Veluwe has immediately stopped sponsoring the television program Today Inside. The company thus distances itself from what happened in the broadcast in which Johan Derksen confessed to sexually transgressive behaviour. The next day Johan Derksen returned to his statements of the day before.

Nevertheless, Derksen's statements in Tuesday evening's broadcast led to commotion and everyone fell over Derksen, including the sponsor of the program, ANP news agency reports. It makes little impression that Derksen has now watered down his story. †Although Stella, as an e-bike manufacturer, is passionate about sports and exercise, including football, it distances itself from what happened in that broadcast.Stella Cycling reports in a statement.

The Public Prosecution Service has now also announced that it is investigating the claims made by Johan Derksen in the TV program. After these statements, the chief officer of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the Northern Netherlands has decided to initiate an investigation.

State Secretary Gunay Uslu of Culture and Media also reacted indignantly to the two broadcasts of the TV program Today Inside. "What has been discussed in both programs continues to be hurtful and humiliating to everyone who has experienced sexual violence and to their loved onesUslu said.

The Talpa program Today Inside saw advertisers and sponsors leave two years ago, when the program was still called Veronica Inside. The immediate reason was after Derksen had made a racist 'joke' about rapper Akwasi. Talpa says that Johan Derksen, Wilfred Genee and René van der Gijp will apologize live on the broadcast tonight for statements made on Tuesday evening in the talk show. Today Inside.
