TUI seizes the opportunity to draw attention to more sustainable holidays and modes of transport by putting these trips in the window during Fair Friday.

TUI Netherlands is not participating in Black Friday for the second time and is renaming it Fair Friday, just like last year. The travel organization wants to take its social responsibility instead of switching to purely commercial actions that stimulate consumption through stunt prices and crazy discounts, rather than through a responsible offer. It is precisely on this day that attention is needed for the future. The future of vacation. TUI seizes the opportunity to draw attention to more sustainable holidays and modes of transport by putting these trips in the window during Fair Friday.

TUI's ambition is for the whole of the Netherlands to book or at least consider a more sustainable holiday. Holidays that take into account the environment, the local economy and inhabitants, greener energy solutions and a stay in a hotel with a certified eco-label. These trips are offered with the Fair Travel label. In addition, of course, city trips by train and the TUI Ski Express are put in the spotlight on Fair Friday.

Travel remains as popular as ever. It makes your world bigger and broadens your view. But future generations must also be able to continue to enjoy beautiful journeys. That is why we will have to be more economical with the world and therefore also go on holiday a little more consciously. Traveling is not a sustainable activity, but with attention and focus we can make more conscious choices. And take those steps TUI with Fair Travel and the expansion of the range of train journeys.

"We will never claim that holidays are or will become completely sustainable, but there are certainly more conscious choices. Choices that take into account the environment, choice of energy, but also local employment. We do not want to come across as pedantic, but we do point holidaymakers to a more sustainable alternative Together with the whole of the Netherlands, we are taking a step in the right direction, and a Fair Friday fits in much better with that than a Black Friday."
