Since Wednesday, July 8, you can use the new Bolt mobility service in Amsterdam and Haarlem, an app that offers passenger transport on request. From now on it is also possible to choose Bolt Protect: a ride option that helps to prevent the possibility of spreading the coronavirus.

Bolt has been offering its services in Amsterdam and Haarlem since July 8: fast, reliable journeys with a better rate for both drivers and passengers. From now on, the option to choose the Bolt Protect category has been added. 100% of the cars in this category are equipped with a shield between the driver's seat and the rear passenger seats, to limit the airflow between the driver and the passenger (s). The shield is an additional measure within the Protect category, in addition to the measures that apply to all Bolt categories: passengers are required to wear a mask, and drivers regularly ventilate their cars and clean and disinfect them between rides .

Lars Speekenbrink, operations manager Netherlands: “The health and well-being of our drivers and passengers are the most important. Our goal is to be able to offer the journeys made there as safely as possible to both passengers and drivers. Of course it is about precautions. We therefore strongly advise all our drivers and passengers to follow the guidelines of the RIVM and the local (health) authorities at all times. ”

The Bolt app is available for download on iOS and Android and is available to users in Amsterdam and Haarlem. The new Protect ride option is available in the app.
