Every year, about 25.000 of the more than 1.2 million scooters that drive in the Netherlands are discarded. Scooter Recycling Nederland (SRN) was founded to enable sustainable recycling for these scooters. The foundation supports the Dutch recycling system for mopeds and light mopeds. For this purpose, a large number of two-wheeler companies are connected as a return point for discarded scooters.

To raise awareness of scooter recycling more widely, the information campaign www.recyclejescooter.nl has started. Anyone who buys a new scooter from a participating importer at one of the two-wheeler companies affiliated with SRN has a chance to win € 430. Thanks to this giveaway, consumers receive information about sustainable recycling at the end of the journey when purchasing a new scooter.

A scooter lasts an average of 11 years. When purchasing a new scooter it seems a long way away, but at the end of its life cycle the scrapped scooter is recycled sustainably. You can easily hand in at one of the 190 return points affiliated with SRN. In this way we prevent environmentally hazardous substances from entering the living environment.

About SRN

Scooter Recycling Nederland (SRN) is the Dutch recycling system for scooters, mopeds and mopeds up to 50cc. SRN is an initiative of the RAI Association and BOVAG to recycle discarded scooters, mopeds or light mopeds in a socially responsible manner, to make new raw materials available and to dispose of environmentally hazardous substances in the correct manner. The giveaway runs until mid-October and everyone who buys a new scooter from a participating importer at a dealer affiliated with SRN has a chance to win € 430 cashback during the entire promotional period.
